Authority Statement
Platte County Board of Services exists under authority of State law, RSMo 205.968 to 205.972. This law allows enactment, upon approval of the voters, of a local property tax to serve residents who have a developmental disability. The agency is a political subdivision of Platte County.Platte County Board of Services is sometimes referred to as the Senate Bill (SB) 40 Board of Platte County. SB40 was the authorizing legislation passed by the Missouri Legislature in 1969.
