Cash donations made to Platte County Board of Services may be deductible for tax purposes.Furniture and clothing would best be donated to the Arc of Clay and Platte Counties since they have the ability to sort, store, and sell those items at their Thrift Stores. They can also provide a letter for an exemption from taxes. The Arc is located at 7400-C North Oak Trafficway, Gladstone, MO 64118. Phone is 816-436-3009.
Volunteers are welcome at Platte County Board of Services. There are opportunities for volunteering in both the Day Habilitation and Recreation programs. Volunteers must be able to pass background checks and complete some training requirements.
